Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU)

If you are flying in for the wedding, your destination airport will be Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU).
Airlines with the most flights at Raleigh-Durham include Delta Airlines and Southwest Airlines.
Located northwest of the Raleigh city center, RDU is approximately 25 minutes from downtown Raleigh and 35 minutes from Highgrove Estate in Fuquay-Varina. Terminal 1 services Southwest Airlines, while Terminal 2 services all other airlines. Shuttles at both terminals will take you to the rental car center, or you can use ride share services like Uber and Lyft.
Hotels
We recommend staying in North Hills, Cary, or Apex. These areas are centrally located between the airport and two venues.

North Hills
Located approximately 30 minutes from Highgrove Estate and 10 minutes from The Pit, North Hills is Raleigh's Midtown District. With plenty of restaurant and shopping options, this is a busy but fun area to stay.
Hyatt House Raleigh North Hills
Our recommended North Hills hotel.
A newer, modern Hyatt hotel with suite options if you want to share a room with other guests or cook your own food in a fully equipped kitchen.

Hilton Garden Inn Raleigh/Crabtree Valley
A newer Hilton hotel located next to Crabtree Valley Mall. Indoor pool and full-service restaurant in the lobby are great options if you don't want to travel too far.
Cary
Located approximately 30 minutes from Highgrove Estate and 20 minutes from The Pit, Cary is a newer suburb outside of Raleigh. Cary is quieter and has less traffic than North Hills.
Courtyard by Marriott Raleigh Cary/Parkside Town Commons
Our recommended Cary hotel.
A brand new, modern hotel located in the Parkside Town Commons shopping center. New rooms with suite options if you want more space or to cook your own food. Walking distance to Starbucks and other shopping/dining options.
Fun Fact: Lauren’s optometry practice is located in Parkside Town Commons.
Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Raleigh Cary
A clean, spacious Marriott hotel located next to I-440 in a hotel complex. Rooms are large and comfortable, with lots of dining options a short drive away.
